There's actually a new rule starting from next week that states your parents can get prosecuted if a valid reason is not provided for an absence from school.

Re: Stat Well im doing the mid-year STAT just in case I don't do well, in that case I can do it again in November. Ughh did some practice qustions, quantitative ones are OK, but verbal ones are worstttt.

My school has warned us that if our attendance drops below 85% it is possible that we will be ineligible to receive a HSC.

Re: Stat Actually, I just read in the booklet for candidates that there is no age restrictions in doing STAT... wish I knew that earlier, would've gotten it outta the way in Year 11.

Back in the days of junior high school I used to celebrate if a teacher was away = free period! Now, since HSC Mode has kicked in, teacher being away is a bad thing, just puts us a bit behind in the course each time she/he is away.

Re: Stat I think that the STAT benchmark won't change much... will probably stay around 150, or if they get really high demand for BPharm, might push it up to 160. My Bio teacher was telling me that I shouldn't worry about it... her daughter prepared just the day before for STAT and she got...

All I know is that any science subject has each question marked 3 times, Maths is marked once... not sure about other subjects.

Definitely get a job AFTER HSC...

I get 3 (37 minute) periods free each week, even though I do 13 units.

This term has been just flying past... we're almost halfway through term 2, and to me it feels as though im in week 2 or 3 of term 2. Scary...
