I don't know a huge deal about it.... in first year you do the three core subjects for the communications degrees and then you do a writing subject. From what I gather, you do a fair bit of creative writing, different styles and genres. If you love writing it would be a really good course.

Because UTS is in the city, the city is a UTS student's playground! I think UTS is a pretty vibrant uni, and there is definately more to it than just the poo tower!

Yes. All Band 6 recipients, plus top achievers in each subject and first in state. Also, in January everyone who gets a university offer gets their name in the paper.

That UTS estimate has got to be wrong.... it would cost more than that to live in France for a year.... unless it is in US dollars? It costs me $14000 a year to live in Sydney, and that is being kinda frugal. It sounds like an awesome course though.

There is no university owned accomodation at Kuring Gai. However, the UTS housing service runs a listings service with private rental accomodation available near campus. www.housing.uts.edu.au

Apparently it's really good.... if you want to make movies, docos, or work in film/sound editing for tv, radio or film it is THE course apparently. Lots of MAP students are cool too.... there are a few that are pretentious wankers though! But most are cool.

If you have confusion about what course you want to do and how you want to order your preferences, this day really helps. I travelled all the way to Sydney for it last year and it was really useful!
