    How does SA-HELP work?

Yep, you've got until 31st march I cut it pretty close last year, didn't realise I filled out my form incorrectly by abbreviating "Bachelor" to "B." under course name. those boxes are too damn small.

    Kopystop

Depending on the unit you can have just a course reader or textbook or both or neither. Should be in the unit outline.

    Kopystop

If it's just lecture notes, then they should be all available online on blackboard soon enough in pdf or ppt which you can just save onto your tablet. But if you meant the actual course reader, then nope, frustratingly.

    How safe is Redfern?

The walk to redfern really isn't that bad, done it to get my last train home just after midnight on numerous occasions after some late night carslaw learning hub sessions. If you're feeling hungry the kebab shop on the way should still be open at that time. Though since it's only around 9:30pm...

    ECON1001 Mathematics Diagnostic test?

Did some digging in my old econ1001 folder and found this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/knvv3suty4fcucq/Maths%20Revision%20%28ECON1001%29.pdf pretty sure that covers everything from the diagnostic test.

    ECON1001 Mathematics Diagnostic test?

It's pretty general 2U stuff like basic algebra, calculating areas, graphing, simultaneous equations, differentiation, etc. The marks don't count for anything and if you go bad I think all they do is recommend you to attend the extra maths sessions dotted throughout semester, but they're open to...

best wam boosters electives usyd commerce

Yeah, it's ok difficulty-wise probably my least favourite commerce core so far though, guess I'm just not much of an accounting guy.

best wam boosters electives usyd commerce

INFS1000 was stupendously easy. You'd want to get into a good group though, you'll be stuck with them during all lectures (you do activities + homework together) on top of assignments. Had a great group and we all blitzed it. Wouldn't call it bludgy though, it was quite involved (weekly marked...

    UAC Application Question

Yep, no extra documentation required. Though once enrolled and and you're looking to apply for credit from previous studies, you'll need to provide a copy of your transcript from your previous uni.

    Help with timetable?

Better off swapping BUSS1040 for 1020, as there isn't really anything directly relevant from 1040 (which is mostly micro stuff) for FINC2011. Most useful out of the 3 assumed units would probably be BUSS1030 since you'll need to understand financial statements/reports, and BUSS1020 is useful...

    Help with timetable?

It's recommended to leave it for 2nd year as it has a few core buss units as assumed knowledge, but technically you're allowed to do it whenever you want since there's no prerequisites.

    Subject Selections 2014

Indubitably. math1905? really?? It's very very similar to buss1040 which might be what they meant, and yes, they haven't made each other a prohibition.

    Subject Selections 2014

Personally thought econ1001 was fascinating, but all my friends hated it, so maybe I'm just weird. It is a 'hard' unit though- averages were just above the 50% mark for most assessments iirc, but there's quite a bit of scaling involved. Lecturer when I did it was katrien stevens, she's great +...

Mobile Apps to Assists your studies

Been using istudiez pro for years now (on iOS and there's a mac app), highly recommend it. Easily one of my most used apps during semester since it's also super useful as a timetable and just normal calendar stuff.

This. You're going to be stuck with the same photo for the rest of your time at USyd, even if you transfer courses and whatnot.

    UAC enrolment

Official offer letter should be in UAC's check & change page under the correspondence tab. Besides, I'm pretty sure all you need is any photo ID to enroll.

    Is HSC 2U enough?

He must've tweaked the difficulty after not-so-great results from previous cohorts but seemingly went a little too far, I remember being pleasantly surprised by how basic the midsem was, which explains the borderline HD median. Also looks like the assignment changed as well, we only needed...

    Do You Wear Glasses?

Been wearing glasses since year 2, was considering contacts but I'm just too used to glasses these days + I look like a turtle without them, esp. when I cut my hair short. I have some pretty intense myopia though, need thinner/ high index lens otherwise they bulge out quite a bit from the frame.
