Is the University of Western Sydney really as bad as people make it out to be?

I am not saying it is fantastic, what I am saying is to check your sources before you start believing many of the people who mouth off about UWS here. There were many reasons behind my decision to leave. 1. Travelling, I had to travel between Bankstown and Paramatta campus' which could take...

Is the University of Western Sydney really as bad as people make it out to be?

Take note of this if you are contemplating UWS. BigPole is right, before you even think taking someone's advice on UWS check them out, whether they have even been there, if they are just an 08'er mouthing off about something someone has told them or the person's sources. The sad thing is...

    good GPAs

I don't know but its stupid, I went to UWS previously so when I saw my GPA was 3.6 I was like WTF because thats a bit over a pass average by the normal scale! We should all use the same system.

    good GPAs

I'd say 3+ because in our system you can't balance out pass/credit with distinction/high distinction. It does depend on the degree though, in law they are pretty picky but then again I find that it is easier to maintain a good arts GPA compared to my law one. For some reason I get an...

    Practical Legal Training

No, we don't have it. UWS, UTS and UOW do. Me and a few others of MULS have been trying to get them to bring it in! You can however do it at the college of law. You cannot become a lawyer with out PLT, it involves 15 weeks further study plus 75 days work experience and then you get your...

Do you go to the lectures?

This is my philosophy too. I generally go unless the lecturer is terrible, I find while it is not always that important to go it makes studying easier as I know what is going on in the tutes and it re-enforces what I have learnt in the readings. I find when I have been to the lectures I have to...

    Sample Law Questions - Contract

The best way to answer a problem question is to be as concise as possible when answering problem questions and to focus on the big issues which can be difficult when you see issues everywhere. When you see a potential issue think hard whether it is that contentious, if it isn't and can be...

Questions about a straight law degree

    1. It won't make it harder per se, but that depends on the combined degree you choose, your ability and your interests. I find my arts subjects easier and a bit less effort but I know people who do Com/Law who says Com is almost if not equally as challenging as law. In the end do the one that...

When is too young to be having sex

I was aware it was a joke, I've been on here for quite a while and I am aware of what trolling looks like. I was just pointing out why emotional maturity is important.

When is too young to be having sex

My thoughts exactly, that said a lot of young people who have sex lack the maturity to have sex safely, deal with the consequences, talk about it with their partner and deal with it emotionally. I think the problem is that at 15 you think you are really mature and you often aren't. Once you...

    Single or Double-degree

^ I don't know about that because the other degree wont be taught from a legal perspective at all, it wont really be that relevant if you do Criminology because thats not part of Criminal Law in the legal sense, Criminology does not = criminal law, it basically means you will have a theoretical...
