:) that means i'd better not do qantas or coca cola... ...do the schools actually use the case study in class throughout the year? coz i guess that would mean that i'd have to investigate my own case studies in my own time.

i'm only in yr11, but it's getting closer to the beginning of my hsc year, so i want to get a head start. i know that u need to gather case studies for business studies, but: a) do u get one case study per topic? (i.e. 5 in total) b) where do u find unique case studies? c) can u do a case...

so can u compare TERs with UAIs? or would a TER be comparatively lower than a UAI, since fewer people were considered e.g. 98 TER = 97 UAI???

thx dansta, but damn, the real answer is $96000...lol... -1 mark for me, even though the official solutions say $36000. according to my teacher, the examiners are "a couple of young people who don't know what they're doing"....any comments??

it happens.... sometimes u write something different to what ur brain tells u to....can't really be prevented IMO. anyway, i'd be over the moon if i got 83/84 :) btw. out of 10, what would u give the difficulty of the cssa exam?

i don't think ext 1 really has become more competitive....i've tried harder this year than i did last year, but i guess that's enough to increase the averages (if everyone does it).

i think teachers/co-ordinators have become a lot more lenient when it comes to selecting students for certain subjects e.g. just about anyone could get into physics at my school despite the "prerequisite" of at least ext 1 maths. as for english...the scaling has steadily declined indicating that...

my school uses chemistry pathways, although our class actually doesn't - crappy! but my school should really get chemistry contexts - much better investment.

i dunno if letters and parental pressure are all too successful. coz schools have the right to restrict access for students into certain courses (as far as i know...correct me if i'm wrong). e.g. to do physics/chemistry at my school u must've done adv. maths in yr10. to do eco: adv. english...

dunno about the "less workload" bit... ...e.g. if i repeat ext 1 + take on ext 2, my workload will actually increase. if ur good enough to get rid of it altogether in yr11, then the workload decreases...but it's still a lot of work in yr11.

last year in preliminary i finished with 69% this year in the hsc (before the trials) i'm on 91%. with 74/84, i would finish on pretty much 90%. when i do it again next year, i'll really be aiming for mid-90s. i dunno if it's just me, but i think the hsc course is somewhat less difficult...

it is probably easier to do ext 2 work having already done ext 1 in year 11. although i wouldn't know since i haven't started ext 2 yet. if u believe u are capable of doing well in ext 2, then see the maths co-ordinator and ask him/her for their opinion. note the word "capable"....unless u...
