    Medsci to Medicine

No. Your UAI is not too low to try. Anyone with a UAI of above 95 and concurrently doing a degree can re-sit the UMAT and hope for an interview in 2008. I'm not sure what UMAT score you will need. Good luck!

    Medsci to Medicine

What is that suppose to mean krayzie :p To ssejamafone: Your best option is NOT to repeat Year 12 - repeating doesn't guarantee you will get a place in Med even if you get a higher UAI/UMAT. If you are interested in doing Psychology, consider doing BSc or BSc Adv. and major in Psychology...

Yep. I agree with both comments above. Check out the Open days. Both UNSW and USyd have excellent Maths and Physics Schools. Check out their websites: www.maths.unsw.edu.au www.phys.unsw.edu.au www.maths.usyd.edu.au www.physics.usyd.edu.au

    Medsci to Medicine

It would be really bias for me to teel you whether I've enjoyed Medical Science or not because my interest for course does not align with yours. Instead of picking medsc, you could consider a general B Science so they have every possible major open to you, like psychology, geology, food tech...

Just try to leave it as your first preference and see what happens - cut off change every year and it's hard to predict. You have nothing to lose. If you change it you have 0 chance of getting in. Good luck!

    Is UNSW Your First Preference?

UNSW is probably closer to Central Station than to Refern Station (15 min bus from Central). Not sure how far from Refern. "How is UNSW? Academically? Socially? Well regarded degree for employment? Faculties for Science?" Depends what major you wish to study, the number of courses available...

Chances of getting into UNSW Law?

miss-smexy, UNSW does not give bonus point for courses like combined law and medicine. There will be no bonus point. As to your EAS scheme, please remember that a large number of applicants are also under consideration for such a scheme, like those who just misses out the usual cut-off of...

    University options

I wuld suggest you to visit the School/Department of Psychology websites for those unis and see what each degree has to offer. Also, to check out whether they have the specific psychology fields you are interested - e.g. forensic psychology (specialisation towards second and third year), and see...

Ok, for physiology, I think it is up to 7 contact hours in SOME weeks. This is because you won't have labs every week. You have it in some weeks only. Microbiology will be different next year (2008). Fundamentals of Microbiology and Immunology is no longer being offered in 2008. Instead...
