    Legal authority?

Re: Legal Authority in Law. yeah that's true but citations for cases can be so tricky sometimes unlike references for other subjects. Dunno if what731 (or whatever the number was) is talking generally about finding an authority to support a principle but I have issues with how fiddly each...

    Ross Gittens

I'm not sure how many teachers out there are pushing Gittin's work as fact (this doesn't make sense since economics is a hugely debatable field anyway). If you can get past his leftist tendencies, Gittins has a knack for explaining economic theories and concepts in a way that is easily...

econ & bus building comp labs

I can't believe I'm replying at 4:50am (i.e have an essay to write) but yes, it's open on weekends. Check the times on the lab when you go to make things easier the next time around. I think it's limited on weekends but it is reasonable with 10am-4pm or something.

    The Da Vinci Code

There are a tonne fo threads on this so have a search if you can. The book's reasonably controversial so even if people aren't debating the theological side, they will discuss the book's merits in terms of writing, plot and character. I only read it last Summer and it was a good read. Fast...

    Bachelor of Commerce (Liberal Studies)

I guess you can if you have reasonable marks because the cut off for Com (Lib St) is higher than B Comm anyway. Not sure about all those new pre reqs though. Maybe asking the SIo is the best way to get an answer cos it's a complicated question.

    Bachelor of Commerce (Liberal Studies)

I don't think so. I did research on this type of degree in Year 12 and couldn't find a close enough equivalent unless you consider a double B Commerce/ B Arts degree. I don't consider that close because it requires a full Arts degree to be completed and doesn't have the streamlined...

Can teachers not tell you your class rank?

I don't think there is a hard and fast rule that says he HAS to tell you at this stage but it should be revealed when you get your half yearly and yearly reports definately.

Government units = units from the faculty of Government and International Relations. Essentially, they are politics subjects. Stas means that you do these subjects in order to free up enough units to major in Psychology. Languages are not compulsory. You can do whatever arts subjects you want...

ECON 1001, haha lolz ok :)

you lecturer should've told you the format (i.e how many MC and S/A) at the very least. Some lecturers like a mix of MC and S/A. Some just have MC. Considering it's worth 40%, I'd say it would be a mix of the two. who's your lecturer?
