I encourage your friend to give the TAFE campuses a call as you never know how many left over places there are. I would be inclined to think though, that the city TAFEs would be much closer to being filled up and the suburban ones would have more left over places.

There are prelim notes on the resources page.:) For mathematics its mixed in due to the nature of the course, and for the others it is placed under the general subsection of the subject. If there aren't notes for a particular prelim subject/module it simply means no one has submitted anything...

Re: Ultimo, best TAFE? Oh, I agree - but it is interesting to see that in a handful of decades a former TAFE became one of the prestigious unis in the state. It simply outlines(to me at least), how superficial some of the boundaries are between the two educational sectors.

I can certainly reccomend Airness for english, the way he was able to put together his work in Ext 2 English makes me certain that when it comes to english he knows what he is doing.:)

Perhaps rather than delete them, make them 'dormant'? ie their posts would still be there, but their profile details would be inaccesible until they logged back in to the forum(rather than SAM or anything else) + they'd dissapear from the member's list. Foundation is a separate course to HSC. To explain it in the most simple terms - its like the difference between the same course run by two different unis, ours is run by the BOS and yours is run by the uni you are taking foundation with.

You could test the pH of some household products, and then do some secondary research explaining why they are at that level of pH. Or you could test some natural things like beetroot or onion to see if they are useful as indicators.

Some points: *Distinction courses can contribute toward your UAI, so you don't have the '10 units' issue. *I'd advise against doing the English Extension course if you don't like english at all, because you will likely underperform due to disinterest and thus it would be a waste of your time...
