    Enrolment

You can email the lecturer in charge (Mr SD Shaner) and ask him to enrol in the course for you because it is a part of your major and you have to do it.

    What are my chances?

what politik is referring to is that you can pick similar subjects (maths, and other science courses) in Arts to that of engineering/science. Then you can transfer to Eng/Sci at the end of your first year. Alternatively, have you consider enrolling in science, then transfer to eng/sci after 1...

Majoring in Psych what courses to do

If you are enrolled in the Bachelor of Science, then you must complete at least 24 units and no more than 60 units in Level I courses from at least three Science Schools. That means you need to pick subjects from 2 other schools. I suggest you to do maths and may be some biology. You can pick...

Easier courses = easier to achieve good grades? ( HD or D)

No. For example, in 2006, 28% of students achieved a HD in Higher Maths, compared to only 5% in normal maths.

    University Medal / Award.

Not necessarily. Topping the course does not guarantee the University Medal. The University Medal is not awarded to all disciplines in any given year. For example, there was no medal awarded in Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Physiology and Biochemistry in 2007. In previous years medals were...

    Law w/ 94.65 UAI

It is better to do Arts at the University you are intended to do law at. So when you transfer, go from Arts to Arts/Law, whcih means your first year Arts units are not "wasted" as you will gain credit for them (at least more easily since it is in the same institution).

Which is better for B. Education: UNSW or USYD?

Yes, go for quality on the Science part, in particular, what her major will be. For Maths, Iruka knows a lot about UNSW and USyd Maths and will be able to give more advice on it. Biology related - UNSW offer better microbiology and immunology courses than USyd from what I understand...

Which is better for B. Education: UNSW or USYD?

It might also be a good iea to base your decision on the quality of your other degree that you are going to do along with Education. Personally, I think all unis provide a good Education degree, as all of them give you plenty of practical experience where you go to actual school and teach. I...

is adv science able to get a high-salary job?

Ok.. to get $100,000 in science you need to be an Associate Professor or Professor at a university. This may take you may be 20 years if you are good. A Professor gets about $135,000 a year. An Associate Professor gets about $115,000 to $118,000 a year But seriously, I don't think you have a...

is adv science able to get a high-salary job?

According to several German and Swedish exchange students in our lab at the moment, they get a scholarship similar to a salary of an RA at their home country. I am not sure of the exact amount. Now our APA is no where near a salary of an RA here, which is currently about 49-50K for a first year...

is adv science able to get a high-salary job?

But a lot of students do want to go on to a PhD. it's just that there is not enough of Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or eqivalent to go around and 99% of them are not willing to go on to another 3-4 years of postgraduate study without some help with living expenses. In a lot of...

    Med Science Question

There are different levels of maths, chem and physics you can choose to do in first year at USyd. Pick the lowest possible level if you are not too confident. Looks like you have your mind set on MedSc. I hope you will enjoy it - first year can be boring though. Keep in mind that as you...

    questions re: UAI and psychology

Min. 65 WAM (WAM=Weighted Mark Average, UNSW does not use GPA). Keep in mind that the higher your WAM, you more "choices" you have in terms of your preferred academic supervisor and Honours thesis topic/research area*. Obviously someone with a WAM of 90 will almost always guaranteed a first...

    questions re: UAI and psychology

For anyone who didn't make the cut-off for B. Pyschology at UNSW, it is best to go for B Science (Adv) or B Science majoring in Psychology, rather than a B Art (major in Psychology). The addition year can be "added on" to your B Sc (Adv) or BSc so you don't have to worry about that - there is no...
